This article, The government just admitted it will use smart devices for spying. by Trevor Timm is very interesting because I never realized that basically any device in your house can be used to listen in. In the article it shows how in Samsung's privacy policy for their T.V. it says that any information that is spoken around the device might be heard by a Third Party. To me this is crazy to even think about. The picture below shows another example of what the government could be using to listen in to what people are saying in their everyday life.
Yes, I agree, the amount of information the government has access to, and the amount of spying they can do on you is Orwellian. A new bill may be passed that allows your browsing history, etc. to be bought.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely pretty scary that the government or really any other big corporation can access all of our information like this, without the public really putting up too much of a fight. Like James said, it really is Orwellian. The future we are heading towards will have little to no privacy or anonymity, the latter potentially being not as bad as the former.
